The Ijen Blue Kitchen transformation reimagined the original kitchen of a 1963 home, bringing warmth and sophistication while honoring the home’s character. The hand-selected countertops, with their soft blue undertones, inspired a palette of deep, rich tones and walnut cabinetry that anchor the space. Removing a wall, the peninsula, and a small island allowed for a large central island and an open floor plan that now invites family gatherings and easy connection to the living room. Highlights include a second sink, a full-height backsplash behind the range, and in-cabinet lighting in the breakfast and bar stations. Complementing the kitchen, the project also included refinished hardwood floors, subtle updates to the laundry and pantry, and a refreshed powder bath, making the main level feel cohesive and renewed.
